Web3: Over Everything?

Something to consider, people, Web2 and social media platforms used a performative model to drive engagement. Users are rewarded with likes, views, comments, and follows based on their performative behaviour on social media. The more I perform on social the higher I rank and the more influence I have.

However, Web3 and the tokenization of communities introduce financial rewards based on a user's community contribution and merit. We could see a mad shift from a performance-driven engagement model to a transactional model? If we do, this could be kinda deep and kill organic, non-financially driven virtual communities that congregate around a common interest that creates a sense of belonging. The user's social graph would create a transactional echo chamber and monetary filter bubble.
